Missed birth control pills!! hellp!!!?!

Question: Missed birth control pills!! hellp!!!.?
I lost my birth control pills (fell out of my bag), while i was on my third week (my fourth week is the placebo, and im taking ortho tricyclen lo). I havent taken them in about a week because I couldnt find them. I wasnt taking them as a method of birth control but instead to regulate my period. Now, about an hour ago my period is starting up a bit, and I found my pills this morning in the car under my seat. If i were to take them from where i left off, would it stop my period.?.? the week i am on has the highest amount of estrogen out of the entire package (just as an FYI). Health Question & Answer

I would say that since you skipped a few days, your body is now out of whack. I don't think it will stop your period. I would toss the pack and start new the way you would normally start a new packHealth Question & Answer

You need to throw that pack out and start a new pack from scratch, like you were never on it.

Hello there!

I have been exactly in your shoes about 3 or 4 times before.

The bleeding is breakthrough bleeding, from having skipped a week of pills. Don't take anymore pills, You need to just start a new pack of pills on the day that you would normally start the pills again. That is what I did. Make sure you use a back up birth control probably at least until a week into the new pack.

also, just FYI, I am in the middle of reading a book called "Take charge of your fertility." And I am tracking my temerature, etc. You will know SO much about your body if you would read even the 1st few chapters...I read the first few at the bookstore. It tells you also how you can do BC naturally! And tells you how to figure out when you are "Fertile," it is awesome and I am not on BC anymore, just because I feel like letting my body be natural and not swayed with pills, however I just started tracking my fertitlity so my husband and I are using condoms.
