Will going on B.C help?!

Question: Will going on B.C help.?
My periods are really painful and heavy. I've been to the doctors before and they gave me some tablets [dixflonac or something like that] and said either them or B.C I went for the other tablets. My mom is going to take me back to the doctors with the cramping cause tablets I got ain't doing anything. Do you think going on B.C will help.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Yes, it will! I went on it for the same reason and it made that time of the month so much better. Once in awhile I decide I don't like being on the pill and stop and the pain and heavyness of the next period remind me why I went on it in the first place. Health Question & Answer

well they gave me BC pills from age 14 on for the same reasons, and when I got off of them at age 22 I found out that there are side effects that compound the longer you use them. so, in other words, check out the pros and cons of having bad periods versus taking BC pills.Health Question & Answer

I just started B.C. this passed tuesday and so far so good. I was a little nervous about it, but I did a lot of reserch before hand because my periods are highly irregular and I need something to help control that.

Just ask your doctor and good luck.Health Question & Answer

Absolutely. Birth control will help with regularity, lighten your flow, and will also help with cramping. Ask about Sprintec (it's generic/cheaper), I usually prescribe it to my patients and I also use it myself. Good luck. :o)Health Question & Answer
