hi! congrats on becoming a woman!! :) first of all, you need to be totally calm and relaxed when putting it in. maybe use a tiny bit of lubricant, or vaseline would probably work. Anyway, relax your muscles down there, and dont just point the tampon UPwards, point it towards your spine a little bit so its at an angle. also, when you start to feel pressure, try moving the angle a little bit and it should go in. We've ALL experienced it the first time! Super annoying i know, but hang in there, you'll get it!! :)

EDIT* also, if it doesnt go in at ALL, and you're really having trouble, go see your gyno, some women have a little bit extra skin down there and it may need to be removed and/or you may have a tilted uterus. most likely not, but this is plan B! Good luck hun! :)Health Question & Answer

you have to keep your muscles relaxed in your legs and in your vag. also, you have to try putting it in at different angles. i would suggest putting one leg up on the toilet seat while you try to put it in b/c that helps me get the right angle. if it hurts, don't force it!

also, start out with a small tampon at first. don't try super tampons at first b/c they're bigger and harder to get in.Health Question & Answer

dw, when i got my first period i had to use tampons straight away because were were on holidays and going to water parks.
It's hard when you first start because your very tight.
I know it sounds extremely gross but make sure there is a little bit of period there so its a bit slippery. i knoww sounds yuck but it helps and if you slowly twist it while inserting it'l big easyier to but in. also make sure its on an angle towards you. Relax and put one leg up on a small stool or something and try insert.
hope i helped :)Health Question & Answer

Use pads. If your still a virgin it hurts too much to use tampons, dont force them you will just cause yourself pain.

Pads arent too bad you might just have to try a few differerent types or brands till you find something thats comfortable for you.

Good luck hunnyHealth Question & Answer

Ask your mom to get you the Playtex Slimfits. They'll work better in your smaller frame. also, try different positions while you are inserting the tampon to find the angle that you can stay the most relaxed in. It will get easier over time.Health Question & Answer
