Question: Any recommendations for birth control pills that won't make you depressed.?
I have been on Tri-Spintec which is the generic for Ortho tri-cyclen. As far as the physical effects, I haven't had any but mentally it isn't a good thing. I want to throw fits and cry all the time. I switched to Yaz but that didn't work either. It caused me to have acne, I was SOOO tired I couldn't hardly function, no sex drive AT ALL, and cramps. Does anyone know of anything that would be worth asking my doctor about.?.?Health Question & Answer

But with all the side effects of the pill wonder whether they are worth it.
Go to your doc and tell them your side effects and ask them what they recommend. If not..
try other forms of contraception

You know, different types affect people differently. You're better off asking your doctor to switch you to another pill. Finding the right one can be a trial-and-error process. You just have to try them until you find one that works with your body.

The first thing you need to do is figure out why your sex drive is low and try to help get it back. I was in your situation and it's not fun without being horny and feeling in the mood when needed.
