Question: OK..How do I ask this w/o it sounding weird or gross.?
Do you think it's a bad idea or is there any harm in inserting a tampon after sex with the idea that it will soak up any juices left or semen in there.?.? What do you all think.?.? I just don't like the idea of having anything left over in there, I know it eventually comes out on it's own, but this will eliminate it quicker.
What do you think.? Do you know if inserting a tampon w/o menstruating is harmful.

You're not supposed to use a tampon if you're not bleeding due to risk factors .I would buy a douche you can clean your self out after sex but using one to much can cause you to have a yeast infection. As far as not liking the left over juices in there there isn't much you can really do about that.Its your bodies way of cleaning its self out naturally,To be honest with you I don't like it either this is what i do. I do not put a tampon in nor do I douche do to it irritates me I put an old towel down there with I call my sex towel lol and let it stay there until all the juices run clear then I go and take a shower and place a pantie liner in my panties if any thing else comes out I use one of those always wipes to clean myself up and replace it with another pantie liner I hope I helped you Health Question & Answer

You should urinate as soon as possible after sex to flush bacteria out of the urethra, and if you sit on the toilet for a minute and "push" then a lot of his ejaculation will come out on its own right then.
Other than that you just need to wipe well (maybe use a damp wash cloth or those wipes they have out now) and if you want throw on a panty liner to catch anything that might find its way out later.
Not a big deal, and it's a perfectly normal part of having sex. Get used to it!

using wrong absorbancy tampons can cause TSS (toxic shock syndrome) so using one when your not bleeding is not healthy, it may also be very uncomfortable and painful.

It's a REALLY bad idea to put in a tampon when you aren't on your period. Even if you don't leave it in long, it's still very dangerous and very uncomfortable (could even be painful) Health Question & Answer
