they are not my cup of tea, they can be put in before sex and hang out slightly so that the man can entre them, but this is easierly missed and they can get pushed aside, i find them very un sexy and have a higher risk of std and getting pregnat then male condoms. they are not aimed at younger women and are usually more suitable to maturer ladies. i find them a turn off and a fiddle but it might be the right thing for you.?.?.?.? but i think they are more trouble then they are worthHealth Question & Answer
I haven't personally used female condoms, but I can describe what they're like from what I understand.
A female condom is a plastic tube sealed at one end (almost like a sock) with a flexible ring at both ends. The condom is placed inside the vagina, with the flexible ring at the closed end of the tube put against the cervix deep inside the vagina. The larger ring at the other end of the condom is left outside the body.
The female condom protects against both pregnancy and STDs, by allowing no contact of bodily fluids. Similar female-inserted barrier contraceptive devices, such as a diaphragm or cervical cap do not protect against STDs, because they are only placed against the cervix, within the vagina, and still allow contact of bodily fluid in the vagina, although they block sperm from entering the uterus/fallopian tubes where pregnancy will occur.Health Question & Answer

most of the people i know use male condoms when it comes to having sex. but if you're wondering what a female condom looks like let me tell you. a female condom is almost like a male condom but what a female condom is that you put inside your vagina and it covers your cervix where the semen goes through. the female condom is like the male the sperm stays inside the condom.Health Question & Answer
Oh dear, I have always mentioned these when listing all available methods of contraception, just for completeness, but otherwise I dismissed them. Using them is best described as having sex in a Sainsbury's carrier bag!

Female condoms are bit like ..........................well, tiny lubricated plastic bag! They are bit tricky to put in as they are bit slippery. But my ex used to love them!Health Question & Answer
