This sounds like you are getting ready to start your period. As you are still fairly young, you should not worry if nothing else happens for a couple of months. It can take a good year or so for you to start your proper period. Even when you get a "real" one with blood and nasty stomach cramps, it may be another few months before you get another one. Most of my mates and myself, did not establish a regular cycle for a few years. It is nothing to worry about. Just make sure that you have some towels, in case you need them. Good luck...Health Question & Answer

The brown discharge is a sign that having periods is near. However, girls usually don't have regular periods every 28 days for the first two years. Some girls have theirs every 28 days and some every 35 days, but all of them can vary by a few days. You are close to having periods, just be patient, don't worry.Health Question & Answer

It means that your period is coming. It may continue like that for a few more months until your body is ready for the real thing.
My 10 year old started her period last month for the first time. She had the brown discharge for the first 2 days then she had a period. Now this month so far, nothing. It will take awhile before things become regular.

How are you on here if you are only 11.?Health Question & Answer
