You should wear them for 4 hours the most, if your period is regular or light. If it is heavy i would change it more frequently. Make sure to never wear tampons to bed though, or for longer than 6 hours. also i would recommend a slim tampon, playtex pearl or gentle glide.:)Health Question & Answer
Generally, you shouldn't wear one longer than eight hours, but I have and nothing's happened. They don't make tampons for virgins, but they do make junior and slender tampons. the tampon box says 4-6 hours. the have light tampons that are small for lighter blood flow.
but your vagina doesn't stretch from having sex like people believe. when aroused it widens but it goes back to normal afterward. the only time a vagina actually stretches and does not fully regain it's original size is after birthing a child or old age takes it's toll.

they do make tampons for light days that are small, however i would not count on them to not leak, you may need to use a liner with it. but you should not feel the tampon virgin or not. i usually wear mine for 4 hours or as needed, some need to change 2 hours (heavy flowers) others can wear them at night (i dont recommend it though) good luck Health Question & Answer
I usually wear them about 4 hours at the most, just to be safe, I believe it can cause TSS, if you leave it in to long. But I have left them in over night, which is a bad idea.
And they make small size, I know the brand Pearl, are really small.
