i had a c-section 11.2 weeks ago and everything had been alright. i had a very fast recovery and the only problem i had was a week after i had my daughter the scar came back open because they forgot to put steri-strips on it..but everything has been wonderful. and now all of a sudden about 10 minutes ago it woke me up because of the pain. it's HORRIBLE!!! it's everywhere in my stomach. i ended up having my first period for a straight month and finally got off of it last week. i just don't know what this is. i've never had pain like this before. it feels like a sharp knife is stabbing me. i was wondering if any mothers out there might have a similar story and have had a c-section and had this. please help nothing will make it stopHealth Question & Answer

This is a medical emergency hon. Get to the emergency room, urgent care or A&E if you are in the UK. Pain that severe is really nothing to fool with it could be related to your c-section or something else. Better to be safe than sorry...just get that looked at right away. Call your doctor, or get down to accident and emergency, if you are worried. 11 weeks is quite a long time for an infection to show up, especially if it's showed up so violently. Please seek medical advice.
