When you wait way too long to urinate, your urinary bladder gets stretched; if it happens too often, your bladder could stop functioning properly and you'll have trouble emptying it. In severe cases, you could end up having to catheterize yourself to get the urine out.
also, urine can back up into the kidneys and cause damage to them. You could also get some raging urinary tract infections if you don't urinate regularly.
Don't panic, though. Just try to avoid the situation where you have to hold it so long. As long as the bleeding was only temporary and not very much, any damage that was done will heal in a young person.
