How would you people deal with this?!

There's usually not all that much blood. Maybe only a little - If some gets on the sheets, don't worry- it's nothing maids haven't seen before -and they don't know that you may have started your period. If you want to "spot wash the sheet-that's up to you. Or you could put a towel down under you before. You can use a warm wash cloth to clean yourself up after - that way less will get on the sheets. If that embarrasses you-take some disposable wipes with you that you can flush away. (ps-nothing really pops, the hymen stretches and may cause a small tear, which is where the blood comes from.)
