Is it safe to go swimming tomorrow if I'm still on my period?!

Question: Is it safe to go swimming tomorrow if I'm still on my period.?
Alrighty. So, tommorow morning I wanna go swimming with my friends, but I'm still kinda on my period. It's my second time ever, and 7th day this month. I have a feeling it's my last day, since 7 days is the average time for a period to last.

I'm kinda worried though. I wanna go swimming soo badly..I havn't gone since school started up again.

What's weird is today I thought it had stopped, since nothing at all came out during the day. It wasn't until about 10pm till I started bleeding again. It also had done this yesterday too. >_< What the heck is that all about.?

also, I don't wear tampons. I'm terrefied of them, I have no clue how to use them, and I got told that I can't still be a virgin to use one, wth, is this true.?

also, if this helps, I'm 13 years old. What can I do to be able to go swimming, but be safe and save myself from total embarasment o.O.?

Thanks a ton for your help ^-^ I appreciate it so much. 10 points to somethin helpful :P!

ok well im twelve and ive been having mine for almost a year now
so if its only your second time it probably isnt too heavy
and considering youve been having it for that long, it sounds like chances will be on your side that you wont have it tomorrow
but just in case i would actually try a tampon
ive put in two, and its a little weird at first, but believe me, if ur with your friends youll completely not notice it
just read the directions on how to use it on the box or ask ur mother WHICH does sound weird but they are very supportive
and water does slow down your period
so you could try it, and it doesnt completely start back up again
so you could get out and go to the bathroom right away, put on your pad and pants and just chill
or you could not go
hope i helped =]Health Question & Answer

Well, the only safe bet is to wear a tampon which you don't want to do. Unfortunately, if you do have your period still tomorrow, swimming isn't without a tampon is less than ideal. You'll think you're fine until you get out of the water because the pressure of the water usually causes your period to temporarily stop, but as soon as you get out you'll bleed again. Best bet is to make sure it's compeletly stopped or use a tampon. Health Question & Answer

I would wear a light tampon just to be safe. No a tampon has nothing to do with virginity & they are actually very easy to insert. Just relax and read the directions. If you really don't want to though, and your flow is light, you should be fine as long as you put a pad in as soon as you get out.Health Question & Answer

who told you that you aren't a virgin if you use a tampon.?
that is totally a lie!!

i totally suggest you try tampons at least once because they're less messy than pads, and you can go swimming without possibility of leaking.

inside the tampon box there are instructions with pictures which help a lot.
and it helps if you get the kind with plastic applicators because they go in easier. Health Question & Answer

u can use a tampon while u're still a virgin...but i don't know if u want to still...i'm 17 n i'm terrified of them too..but if u have been having it for 7 days, i think it will b done so hopefully, there will b nothing at all tomorrowHealth Question & Answer

Yea its ok. Just wear a tampon that has one of those back up layers and get plus. You have to change it in about 2 hours. Hope I helped. Ive done this lots of times.Health Question & Answer

u dont lose your virginity by using tampons. and u should try them some time. there kinda tricky but u will get the hnag of them. if u realize u dont want to go go swimming because of this, just tell yur friends u dont feel good.Health Question & Answer

Use tampons!
my friend tried them for the first time and she got it in right the first timeHealth Question & Answer

it depends on your periods but i think it is not safe......................Health Question & Answer

i went through the same thing. but if you use a tampon you will still be a virgin, no worries there. some people say that because a tampon can break the hymen, but it barely ever does. and you prob wouldn't feel it anyways. you can buy a junior version of a tampon so it's just big enough to help you. but if you think it's your last day then you should be all good. besides, cold water slows down the bleeding.Health Question & Answer

if u dont wear tampons then hell no dont go

i hate tampons too.

one time my friend went swimming with us while she had her period. they the water started turning red and she was so embarassed she started crying. and this was when she was wearing a tampon. so wearing a tampon will not completely prevent smthng like tht frm happening.

but since its tomorrow it'll probably be finished. and its really light by now so its okay i guess. depends on how much blood s still cming outHealth Question & Answer

you can be a virgin and still use a tampon. you can try to use a tampn but if you cant figure it out or if its just to uncomfortable right now than just wear a pad and just wear shorts over your swim suit bottons. i've done this tons of time! so dont it works and then just change the pad when your done swimming cause it does absord the pool water and will be pretty wet.but you might not be off of your periode by tomorrow. the average days is from 3 - 8 days. but if your period is irregular than it could be more than a week but its perfectly fine. hope i helped! good luck!Health Question & Answer

you can not go swimming on your period unless you wear a tampon
don't believe anyone who tells you that your period stops in the water because it doesn't, it just looks like it stops because it gets washed away in the water quickly
and whoever told you that you won't be a virgin anymore if you use tampons is an idiot, you will still be a virgin
you're only not a virgin if you have sex (by sex i mean a penis going into your vagina, not oral sex)

and do NOT wear a pad in your bathing suit with shorts over!!!
the blood will get washed away in the water before it even hits the pad!
that's just as unsanitary as not wearing anything
i feel sorry for the people who went swimming with the person who suggested that, they had to swim in her blood and didn't even know itHealth Question & Answer
