i had sex without using a condom. i'm on the pill but sometimes i take it a few hours late. if i take two pills tomorrow morning instead of one, does it count as the morning after pill.? i'm on yaz by the way.

As long as you've taken it you should be fine. If you're really worried about it, go down to planned parenthood and take an emergency contraceptive. And DO NOT EVER have sex without a condom again. The only thing I say you don't need a condom for is until you're married I dont necessarily think you have to wait till marriage but always use a condom until you're married to protect yourself from disease. And if you really don't want a baby and you're married use a condom as well.
Anyway...take an ECP pill they give them to you for free or at least they did me. And you don't have to take the pill on the dot just take it that day. And no if you take two pills it just throws off your balance and your period will be all weird.
Relax though, stress will cause your period to get wacky and then you'll really think you're pregnant.
Honestly though the chance of you being pregnant isn't very high even if you're unprotected entirely. And you took the pill which has a 99% chance of protection.
So wait until you miss your period for like a month before you start to worry and remember use a condom still if you relly don't want a baby because there is a chance you could have a slip up on the pill. but theres not a very high chance you could slip up on both protections.

A few hours late will not make the pill ineffective, and taking two tomorrow will not solve anything, even the yaz pamphlet says not to do that, it says just to take the pill as soon as you remember, and if you miss a day to throw the pill that you missed in the garbage so you wont get confused on what days you have already taken the pill. If you are really worried i suggest you make your boyfriend or husband go with you to a clinic to get the morning after pill, it does not cost anything. It will not do anything. Taking two will make it worse by getting you sick. It's not good.
But I don't think that taking it a couple hours late will effect anything. Just depends on how many times you've done that.

always take the pill at the same time for maximum protection.

No taking 2 pills wont count. It will screw your routine up. If you are really worried, go to the doctor and ask for the morning after pill. Try taking the birth control at the exact same time every day for the full results and make sure to use a condom. :)Health Question & Answer
You don't have to take it ON THE DOT. I take mine at bed time, sometimes it's an hour early, sometimes an hour late. As long as you take it within a few hours of the designated time, so my OBGYN has said, you're fine.Health Question & Answer
