Basically you insert the tampon in your vagina, and if it's well inserted, then you shouldn't feel it inside you =)
As you have your period, the tampon absorbs the blood and expands, so after a few hours you need to change it .
You can buy tampons with, and without applicators. The ones with, have a plastic piece which helps you insert the tampon correctly, and the ones without the applicator, are just the cotton bit which you have to insert yourself =)

Tampons can be bad for you. There isn't enough independent data to show that their safe in general. (The bulk of the information is done by scientists being paid by the companies that make them, not independent doctors/scientists.) To answer your original question:

IF you tampon breaks (either away from the string or in another way) You'd have to reach up their with your hand and take it out manually or have a doctor/someone else you trust take it out.

Well, girls inserts them into their vagina. They hurt at first, but if they're put on correctly, tampons shouldn't hurt too much. also, I've heard thet if tampons are out on the wrong way, they could pop a girl's virginity. To put it bluntly: You push the tampon into the vagina, and it acts kinda like a cork, but it absorbs all the blood. You pull on the string to get it out.

lol random question. you use tampons in the lower region in a girl and its kinda like a sponge and it absorbs all the blood.a tampon will never break.if you cut it with scissors and it will.
