my labia minora is longer than my majora, and a portion of it sticks out. it doesnt interfere with my daily activities but ive realised that it covers the opening of my vagina. i was just wondering, if this meant that it would be harder for me to have sex, because my labia minora covers the opening, and would have to be parted manually .?

Hon, relax. Every woman has some part of her that she thinks is too big, too weird or whatever. No one has a perfect vagina (unless they go through surgery). What's normal for you may not be for someone else and vice versa. As far as I know there are no problems with a larger than normal inner labia (unless there is a serious physiological abnormality). I am sure that yours are fine. There really shouldn't be any problem during sex, guys can manuever past this. You should definitely check this with your gynecologist though just for reassurance. they covered this on the big sex experiment programm on channel 4 recently i think. there were some women who were getting surgery for it. but the show they said it was perfectly normal, everyone is different etc and that loads of women have this so if i were you i wouldnt stress out too much. it's perfectly normal. Vaginas come in all shapes, sizes and colors. It could interfere with sex but if all you gotta do is part it manually then what's the big deal.? You could talk to your doctor about it, but really...it's totally normal. Health Question & Answer
