First period, some questions?!
Question: First period, some questions.?
Mother nature came to me yesterday, I'm guessing while I was at school. At any rate I came home to a huge mess in my underwear.
I decided to stay home from school today so I could get used to having my period, but I have some concerns for when I go back.
How long does the bleeding usually last.?
All I've had so far was a pretty bad stomachache, will I usually get one during my period.?
I've never worn a purse and I'm pretty tomboyish. Do you think people would care if I started carrying my purse around at school.?
I have gym class every day right after lunch. I've talked to my mom about tampons and although she doesn't like them much, I might be able to get some. However I doubt I'll have them by tomorrow. How can I change into my gym clothes without being too obvious.?

The bleeding on average lasts 5-7 days, however as you are young your periods and menstrual cycle will be a little erratic so your first period may be longer or shorter, and a pattern to your periods might not show for a year or more. You will find some days are heavier than normal
