Yes, you still get a period. You just don't get pregnant. They cut the tubes from the ovaries to the uterus so the egg cannot be fertilized and you won't ever get pregnant again. Health Question & Answer

You might be confusing it with a hysterectomy, which removes the uterus. That will cause periods to stop.
