I just posted saying that I may have a tampon stuck and people say I need to go to the hospital.I will go to my doctor in the morning (it is nearly 2AM here) but what I want to know is will it hurt.? And what will she do.? I don't really think there is one in there I tried looking for it and theres nothing to say its in there - just that I wouldn't take one out without putting one in and since I can't remember I guess it's better safe than sorry. also any ideas on how to try to find it are appreciated. Well tampons can't really go anywhere so if you feel around up there and you feel nothing there is probably nothing up there. Due to the way the female body is set up a tampon cannot go any further than the vagina as there is no opening large enough.Health Question & Answer
First of, relax, lie down or put a leg up on a chair, relax all your muscles and gently stick your fingers in and try locating the string. also, if you still can't get it out, I would recommend not to wait until the morning but perhaps go to the hospital now, to the emergencies. Better safe than sorry, the thing can be full of bacteria. In terms of will it hurt, the more you relax the less it should. also, does it really matter.? try to feel for the string the same way you insert them if you have no luck then i would seek medical advice
I would guess the only way to find out is to have an internal exam if ,you haven't had one before they normally don't hurt but may be a bit uncomfortable . but this to me would be preferable than the risk of infection .

how do you not remember if you put one in its simple if you are on your period then you did put one in..... i no this one gurl who goes to my skool who had the same problem (the gettin it stuck part) she want to the doctor and they had to open her up to ge it out. she said it didn't hurt when they were taking it out but it hurt when it was out. everyone at skool makes fun of her and the bois call her the wide pussy tampon gurl" its soo funny but only because she got it stuck at skool.

darling you have done your best. go to the doctor in the morning she will be able to retrieve it. you are not the only person this has happened to. i worked at a doctor office trust me it happens. however if there is one inside still it must be removed. it will get disgusting up there if it is not retrieved.

Well, a tampon is made from relatively soft fibres, so I doubt it would be excruciatingly painful to take out. However, if it has been shoved in further than it should have been, that could be a problem.

ask someone to look in there for you...but i would much rather go to the hospital to let a pro help you. i don't it will hurt a lot. it sounds painful, but it won't be excruciatingly painful.
btw, that's why i use pads...you should switch to pads as well.

Your doctor will probably just do what she does during a pelvic exam. Most likely, it will hurt and will be irritated for a few days. Best not to try to put another one in until next month. Go with a pad for the rest of this period. Health Question & Answer

Hey, once you go to the hospital to get the tampon out they will num you and cut your where ever its at, they will cut it open and take it out, and NOT HURT at all my cousin did it before.
