Speaking as someone who has just finished a 17 week long period, I understand what you are saying. I personally would keep going back to your doctor and pestering them until they send you. I had to bleed for 10 weeks before they sent me to a gynaechologist. My doctor also told me that taking something like ibuprofen can help slow bleeding down a bit when it is heavy (obviously follow instructions on doseage with that). But the most important thing is to not let it lie and pester you doc until they do something. Good luckHealth Question & Answer

Bleeding because you just had a baby or your period isnt stopping.? If it's the first one, it may be up to 6 weeks. If you didnt just have a baby, call your OB/GYN and get a appt. to check it outHealth Question & Answer
