Question: What could be the cause of this.?
I wasn't doing anything, just sitting on the couch, when out of nowhere came this unbearable back pain. i still have it right now-it is directly in the center of my back and im really tearing up right now. i also feel nauseated and have a headache. my guess would have been pregnancy, but i got my period friday (3 days early, starting abnormally light and lasting only 3 days-normally 5) HELPHealth Question & Answer

Have you had back problems in the past.? It could be a nerve that got suddenly pinched. Have you ever had any problems with your discs.? Repeatedly picking up kids and a baby can put pressure on your back and cause a pinched or slipped disc. My mom ended up with back surgery after my youngest brother. cant explain the back pain, you should get that checked.
But for the bleeding, it may be spotting from being pregnant, try taking a test, but please get in to get checked out for the back pain, maybe you are going through a misscarriage.?

Could be a muscle spasm Rosie. I've had those. See a Dr. though...if that's the case there are meds that can help. They are terribly painful though, last time I had that, I was in tears as well. Usually (for me) lower back, middle area.Health Question & Answer
