Question: Is this a period or not.?
I am 13, and for the past about a year, i have been getting these white, almost milkish or opaque stains in my underwear. I get them nearly everyday, heavier on some days than others. What exactly is this.? And also, is this a sign that i will start my period soon.? If so, about when will i start my period.? Health Question & Answer

My doctor said I was supposed to start my period in 1 year but I'm afraid the white stains (called discharge) in my underwear is a sign I might be getting my period soon. White stains and discharge is normal. No way to tell if that is "pre period" or not. But be sure you are changing underwear & bathe everyday, and wear cotton ones. you could wear mini pads if you are worried. You will probably start your period soon, 13 is the average age.
