Question: Can not getting enough sleep make you stressed.?
Hey! I was just wondering, I recently started my period and since then I have needed a lot more sleep than I did before then. The problem is that I'm not getting all of it. I am 13 and a half, and I get about 7 and a half hours a night (give or take a bit). I also run almost every day, and sometimes twice a day. Lately, I have been feeling much more frazzled and worrisome, and though it has mellowed out a bit (It is hormones, I know, but I find myself sometimes worrying for silly reasons, and insulting myself, even though I am a positive person.) I can't help but think it is beacuase of lack of sleep. In the summer, when I slept in, I didn't have these troubles, and on the weekends and breaks and when I get enough sleep I don't either. Does this just mean that I need more sleep.? I am going to go to bed by 10 tonight and see how that works out.Health Question & Answer

When you don't get enough sleep - your frontal lobe, which handles part of the logic center.. starts to shut down to conserve energy for the rest of your brain - b/c your brain is trying to force itself to sleep lol. So yea, that is why we don't think as straight if we dont get enough sleep - i'm sure you'll feel better if you get some sleep
