Can I be stressed from lack of sleep and hormones?!
Question: Can I be stressed from lack of sleep and hormones.?
Hey! I was just wondering, I recently started my period and since then I have needed a lot more sleep than I did before then. The problem is that I'm not getting all of it. I am 13 and a half, and I get about 7 and a half hours a night (give or take a bit). I also run almost every day, and sometimes twice a day. Lately, I have been feeling much more frazzled and worrisome, and though it has mellowed out a bit (It is hormones, I know, but I find myself sometimes worrying for silly reasons, and insulting myself, even though I am a positive person.) I can't help but think it is because of lack of sleep. In the summer, when I slept in, I didn't have these troubles, and on the weekends and breaks and when I get enough sleep I don't either. Does this just mean that I need more sleep.? The worries really bother me and I am normally a lot more mellow.

Your hormones are going a bit haywire. They should calm down soon. You might need more sleep than you're getting. It can't hurt.Health Question & Answer

Try going to sleep an hour or two earlier than you usually do. School can really get in the way of a teenager's sleeping needs.Health Question & Answer
