Two weeks ago I had a UTI for the first time and was treated with antibiotics. Now, I have a whitish thick discharge, itchiness, and burning while urinating...are those signs of a yeast infection.? Can I treat it with OTC products.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Yes, antibiotics can OFTEN cause yeast infections! It might also hurt when you wipe after going to the bathroom.? You can get Vagasil over the counter but your doctor can also give you Diflucan by prescription and that works good if you aren't into having to put a cream down there. Hope you feel better soon those suck!!Health Question & Answer

That's what it is! Just go to a grocery or drug store and pick out a medication. It'll be gone before you know it!

It's normal to get one after antibiotics, because they knock out your natural flora, allowing fungi to take over in place of the bacteria that are normally there to balance everything out! Good luck! Health Question & Answer
