If a person has had plastic surgery and has been unhappy with the results for two years, what should he do?!

Question: If a person has had plastic surgery and has been unhappy with the results for two years, what should he do.?
How do you think a doctor would respond if obe complains two years after the surgery.?
I'm not asking about how I should feel or whether I did the right or wrong thing, my psyschological health, or whether plastic surgery is addictive or not.
My question is to the point and I'm hoping to get answers from people with "Experience/s"Health Question & Answer

I think your, "unhappiness," is valid. I also don't believe that any doctor would take any sort of offense to that. I would see the same doctor and discuss my options right away if you have the means and the desire. You have nothing to feel guilty about regarding the dissatisfaction with your prior surgery. Get a second opinion if you wish. Go for it!

* An added note, this is not uncommon when it comes to cosmetic surgery, and the surgeons are happy to discuss concerns. They view it as an occupational hazard of sorts and do not take these concerns personally. Been there, done that.Health Question & Answer

Well i don't have "experiences" as such, but being in the medical profession, i'd like to tell you that in most countries, the time limit for filing such a law-suit is two years. Check with a medical malpractice lawyer regarding the rule in your country.,
Plastic surgeons are probably the most sued in the profession, because majority of the patients do need a psychological consultation more than the surgery. Moreover i'm sure the surgeon would have warned you that the results of surgery can never be as good as the work of God. you must have signed an informed consent form, and all these will be strong evidences in favour of the surgeon.
So i would not recommend that you sue the surgeon now. Cosult the appropriate attorney if you need the proper info.Health Question & Answer

If it is causing an ailment or the re constructed part is not to the liking of the person,he should have gone back to the doctor immediately to take care of the ailment or perform another surgery to reshape the body part as per his liking. Now the doctor's responce would be : okay,it can be re constructed as per your choice, but it will be considered as a fresh case.Weigh the benefits versus cost and time, and if the person feels odd living with the present situation,he should go ahead and get it changed to his satisfaction and spend a happy and tension free life.Health Question & Answer

I don't have experience with plastic surgery myself...but yes plastic surgery can be addictive. As far as being unhappy with the results if the doctor did the surgery as you requested or discusses prior to the surgery and wasn't negligent then they are not going to redo it for free if that is what you are asking. They may redo the surgery but they will charge you for it again. They may also refuse to redo the surgery if they feel you are addicted to plastic surgery or have a dimorphic disorder or other psychological issues Health Question & Answer
