when i was 10 months old my circumcision was botched badly enough that my penis had to be turned into a vagina if a wanted to live a ridicule free life, thus turning me into a girl. im now 17, and all of my female hormones have kicked in, i know i like boys, not girls, but i want to know, is there any point in changing back to my original sex, or is there no point now that i am a young woman, and ive been a girl for almost all of my life.?Health Question & Answer

That depends on how you feel, do you feel more like a girl inside.? I don't mean how you look or what gender parts you do or don't have. If you are happy and satisfied being a girl then stay a girl. If you are not happy with it then explore the possibilities of being male with your physician. You have a hard decision ahead of you, but let your soul lead you in the right direction when making your decision. Don't let someone else make this decision for you. It has to come from within. I'm a retired Labor and Delivery/Neonate nurse and have a huge time believing this story. Every circumcision I assisted with was done shortly after birth not at 10 months. also you stated that all of my female hormones have kicked in and yet mentioned nothing about daily hormone replacement therapy. I cannot think of a single Doctor (and I've worked with lots) that would change the sex of the baby at 10 months instead of doing reconstructive surgery.Health Question & Answer
If you feel comfortable living as a woman, I don't see a "point in changing back." Just remember that if you choose to stay a woman, you can reverse that decision later. If you decide to try life as a man, you'll require surgery now and if you ever want to feminize again.

While I suspect your question is fake, I would just like to point out to the people above that some babies are circumcised at 10 months, and in cases where it is botched and the penis is lost then sometimes the boy is "changed into" a girl. David Reimer is the most famous case.

This is a very serious case and it oculd affect you emotionally. Well the number one advice anyone can give is it is your body and you do what you want to do with it...because you are the one who is living with it, I know it can be very hard though because you are in a confusion as you dont know what to do. I dont think you should use yahoo answers as a way of discussing this as your decision hsould be well thought.
