Question: PERIOD CRAMPS, ANY SUGGESTIONS.?
Hi

i am working away from home and cant get out to the shops until after lunch, i would usually carry painkillers but i forgot them this morning!
Any cessations for period cramps and back ache! i have tried a warm towel across my stomach and even drank lemon tea with milk thistle this morning but nothing is working and i am in quite a bit of pain with it and i have a good pain threshold just this is bad this time
so until i can get to the shop tog et nurofen or feminax i need some ideas

Answers:
You need to apply heat to your tummy area and put a cushion on the seat behind your back to support it. I am going through the exact same thing at work so I created a makeshift hot water bottle by pouring boiling water into a normal bottle, sealing it tight and wrapping it in a facetowel, am applying it to my tummy and upper thighs right now and it is sort of helping. Drink lots of water as this will help flush out the clots and nasties that are causing the pain and cramping. Hope you feel better soon.Health Question & Answer

I woud always start with the pill-free options first, as taking lots of pain killers isn't really very good for you.

Instead of a warm towel try a hot water bottle, it relieves the pain for me. Don't sit about feeling sorry for yourself. The common thing women do is curl up in bed in pain. Go for a walk, do some gentle exercise and you'll notice the difference.

you'll not believe me but.....having an orgasm ALWAYS helps me (if you can get in the mood!). Don't know whether its the muscular contractions down there, or the release of endorphins in the brain (or both!) but it works!Health Question & Answer
