When's The Best Time To Tan?!

Question: When's The Best Time To Tan.?
I am fair skinned and I went tanning on Wednesday and got a little burnt. I still have a little redness left but not much, would it be ok to go tanning again today.?

Do you get " more tan " if you go with a hint of a burn.?
Or,
Will it just make my burn worse.?

Thanks in advance :)Health Question & Answer

I always go back right after the real red goes away and keep going... the lotions at the tanning bed do help cause the skin will be moisturized and more suseptible to the tanning lights... you just have to figure out what is est for your skin.. and your not supposed to shower until at least an hour after you tan...Health Question & Answer

It'll probably just burn you more.

Wait 'til your skin's healed up a bit. Since you're fair skinned, it'll take time to build a gradual tan, so you might need to leave tanning to once every few weeks.

Try to keep within the limit of using sunbeds, as they have been known to increase chances of skin cancer.

If you really want to get darker quickly, try a gradual self-tanner. Make sure you choose one suited to your skin type & tone - don't go for one that's too dark as you'll just end up orange & patchy.

Hope this helped!Health Question & Answer

To get a good tan with minimal exposure to the sun, use suntan lotions. The ones that help you tan. They can be bought in pharmacies if i am not wrong. Do not suntan when you have a hint of a burn as this will increase the chances of you getting sunburn again and also the chances of getting skin cancer is higher.Health Question & Answer

Ummm, never.

If you're fair skinned you're at much higher risk for skin cancer and tanning beds are a concentrated form of the rays that damage your skin and can cause cancer.

If you really want darker skin, do the mystic tan thing.
