Is this a vaginal infection?!

Question: Is this a vaginal infection.?
I'm 15. I've had my period for about a year.
Usually with yeast infections I've heard there's abnormal discharge,
itchy, burning, swelling, and a strong foul odor.

It doesnt itch, burn and my discharge is totally normal.
-My actual discharge doesn't smell. And my vagina doesnt smell.
But my clitoris sometimes does. It's not a strong odor.
It doesnt really smell too fishy, but sometimes after my period it does.
The scent comes and goes, sometimes its much lighter and sometimes i can smell it even with like stretchy shorts on.

Help! My mom and sister have never had a yeast infection so
I'd feel really uncomfortable, is there anything I can do at home.?

Oh, and my periods are irregular and its been lke 2 months late
so I've been wearing panty liners this whole time, that might worsen it. But its been like this before, so I dont think thats the problem. I'm not sexually active.

This should help you decide.

Once you start puberty a white and/or clear, non-foul smelling discharge (mucous) is normal. The vagina is self-cleaning. You will also have your own 'scent' (musky) and it will smell stronger to you than to others. When you wear stretchy shorts that traps the scent and makes it stronger. Stop wearing them.
.
This same discharge increases the closer you get to ovulation and when you are sexually aroused. Trust me, you don't ever want it to go away..

Different Types of Discharge:

White: Thick, white discharge is common at the beginning and end of your cycle. Normal white discharge is not accompanied by itching. If itching is present, thick white discharge can indicate a yeast infection.

Clear and stretchy: This is "fertile" mucous and means you are ovulating.

Clear and watery: This occurs at different times of your cycle and can be particularly heavy after exercising.

Yellow or Green: May indicate an infection, especially if thick or clumpy like cottage cheese or has a foul odor.

Brown: May happen right after periods, and is just "cleaning out" your vagina. Old blood looks brown.

Different types of infections:

Signs of yeast infections:
White, cottage cheese-like discharge
Swelling and pain around the vulva
Intense itching.
You can buy over-the-counter Monistat to treat a yeast infection. Stay away from tight pants, stretchy shorts, nylons and no sugar (alcohol, bread, candy, bread, sweets, etc) as sugar feeds yeast. For some girls a yeast infection will go away just after her period, but most of us can't stand the itching that long to see if it goes away.

Signs of bacterial vaginosis:
A white, gray or yellowish vaginal discharge
A fishy odor that is strongest after sex or after washing with soap
Itching or burning
Slight redness and swelling of the vagina or vulva

Signs of trichomoniasis
A watery, yellowish or greenish bubbly discharge
An unpleasant odor
Pain and itching when urinating
Most apparent after your period
Health Question & Answer

go see a doctor...i had a yeast infection without any noticable symptoms and didn't even know it till i went for a check up and my doctor told me.......if that's what it is, you probably just have a mild one that can be clear by taking a one antibiotic, nothing serious....but get it taken care of before it gets any worse if that's what it isHealth Question & Answer

A normal vaginal discharge does not have a foul odor and usually has no odor at all. Normal vaginal discharge often appears clear or milky, and also change in menstrual cycle is common. It's definitely not a infection if its not itching or burning.Health Question & Answer

I'd just see a doctor. I've had things like that, which ended up being nothing. But I've also had a yeast infection that got really bad.
