Question: Need help with birth control.?
Okay so i have a boyfriend that i love more than anything and have finally decided that i am ready for sex, but am horrified of getting pregnant at 18. I want to go on Birth control but i am scared it won't work or i will gain weight. anyone that has information please helllllppppp

I'm glad you are taking this issue seriously. Birth Control Pills are 95-99% effective if taken perfectly (same time of day every day). You may gain weight while on the pill, but don't you think a few extra pounds is better than having a baby.?
There are other methods of birth control besides the pill you can consider with your doctor. Here is a good comparison--

Go to Planned Parenthood, they will discuss the options and help you choose the method that is right for you. All methods have advantages and disadvantages, and no method is 100% effective. By using 2 methods (ie pills and condoms) you will be better protected. Health Question & Answer
