Scared period will leak?!

Question: Scared period will leak.?
I have a heavy period right now, and I'm scared it's going to leak all over my bedsheets when I sleep. What can I do to prevent this.? I don't have tampons, and I'm only using 1 pad because 2 is just way too uncomfortable. Should I line my pad with toilet paper or something.? I'm not putting a towel underneath me either because they're all white and used for after showers and stuff.Health Question & Answer

I have this problem all the time bc I have heavy periods in the beginning. There's really nothing besides using a tampon as well as a super absorbancy night time pad at the same time that will keep leaks at bay. Before I was using both I would stain my clothes nightly, sheets, blankets, whatever. Everything was always being washed. Not to mention the fact it feels disgusting as hell to have that dripping everywhere. Toilet paper is definitely not going to suffice or survive a heavy period. It will fall apart in shreds and be more of a pain to clean up.

You might just have to deal this evening and buy a box of tamps tomorrow.Health Question & Answer

I have this problem every night, Im always scared its going to leak. I think you need to start using tampons, they are much more comfortable than pads,(I personally think 1 pad is too uncomfortable) the towel idea can help just in case it does leak more, idk about you but I'd much rather have leakage on the towel then on my bed. Toilet paper is just a bad idea. I know a few girls who don't like to use tampons, it wont get lost inside, its not uncomfortable unless you insert it wrong. this is the silly one most girls don't like to ask, but it doesn't matter if you are a virgin you can still use it. idk if you've ever tried them before, but I would def. recommend them. just make sure you read the instructions, leaving them in for too long =leaks and a serious but uncommon disease called tss (toxic shock syndrome ). now Im not sure if that's why your not using them but its very uncommon, I always use tampons always have and always will.Health Question & Answer

It's not a good idea to wear a tampon to bed, unless you plan on setting an alarm to take it out after four hours. I know some brands say "overnight" but this is absolutely NOT a chance you want to take. A reusable menstrual cup is the only thing you can leave up there without the risk of TSS. Check out the Diva Cup, there's a learning curve to using it but totally worth it. You could use something like that in addition to a pad, or invest in the overnight pads. But honestly, if I'm ever in that situation I just use toilet paper. Works as well as anything ;)Health Question & Answer

Try a towel, its helps to cover your sheets

wear your bathing suit bottom, it keeps the pad a little tighter

Set your alarm to go off in the middle of the night so you can change your pad. You will do it if you really dont want to make a mess of the sheets!Health Question & Answer
