I got mine today..but it was like a small pink spot....
but the previous nights and day...i had a really bad fever...
i would feel freezing cold, then really hot...and my whole body ached..
this morning...i got wat was supposed to be my "period"

It's perfectly possible - and normal - for a woman to be late or even skip a period. Certainly to have her period lighter or heavier.
Diet, exercise, drugs, illness and/ or stress can all be contributing factors.
If you know you're not pregnant, don't worry about it.
If it continues for more than one cycle, see your doctor, because then it may be a symptom of an underlying gynecological issue.
