Question: Do I need to get STD tests.?
I was forced to have sex as a child about 20 years ago and have never been tested for STD's. Should I still be tested.? What tests should I get.?Health Question & Answer

First of all, I'm terribly sorry for the trauma you must have gone through. As for STD test, if it will make you feel more at ease then by all means have the test. You can go to your Public Health Department, NOBODY will know unless you tell them, and you can receive confidential results. Further, if you have had unprotected sex with anyone in the last 20 years you should stop doing that, and have the test done for that reason if for no other. As a safety precaution, yes I would be tested. The tests that are
given these days cover all of your major communicable diseases.
And the peace of mind you get knowing is well worth it. lol.
although with the time that has elapsed and you haven't noticed anything unusual you probably have nothing to fear,ease your mind.

Well yeah. You probably should just to ease your mind of that. What i would suggest..My old manager told me about this. Go donate blood. They test it for absolutely everything. If they find something they will contact u within about 5 to 10 days. If you dont hear anythign back you're in the clear. And its free. Health Question & Answer
