Question: How do I tell my teacher.?
well first... i have to go to my locker to get a pad to change so how do I ask to go to my locker then the bathroom without sounding weird.?.?.?

Answers:
1. Don't say you are going to your locker, but then go anyway.
If they catch you, just say I had to get something first, he/she will get it.
Have a pad with you to begin with. Put it in a separate pencil case or something, that's what I do. And to be honest, I could care less if my teachers, friends, or whoever notices that I am bringing it with me. And I don't care if somebody hears my wrappers or whatever. I mean it's not like they are going to ask, what's in your case, are they.? And the girls/boys aren't going to talk about your period. If they do, so what.? Granted we are eighth graders, but still. We don't get in trouble for saying tampon, we don't get laughed for having one (unless someone finds it), and we don't get embarrassed talking about it. Now finding one on the floor or something is a totally different story..
2. Take Midol, Advil, Tylenol, whatever three times a day, whether your cramping at the time or not (but while your on your period!). Take one before you leave for school, as soon as you get home, and one before bed, after dinner, or sometime in the evening. I suggest before bed though, unless you go to bed really late. My doctor gave me this information, so it's not just some method I came up with. The reason why you should do this is because does medication work immediately.? No it doesn't! But if cramps are still that bad, you could use one of those heating pads meant for menstrual cramps that stick to your stomach. If that doesn't work either, go to the nurse and ask to go home. Honestly if cramps are so bad that you have to skip gym, you should be at home laying down. My nurse will let us go home. (Go to the nurse before gym, like in the halls). I wouldn't tell my gym teacher that I have cramps because he won't let you get away with anything unless you have a doctor's note. So telling him would just be an embarrassment.

Your teachers are grown ups. They know about these problems and will not think you sound weird. If they are women, they've had these problems themselves. If they are men, they know that girls and women have these problems and won't think bad thoughts about you.
They may ask you to be more responsible about taking care of some of these problems so you don't disrupt class. Like keeping an extra pad in your purse or book bag so you can go straight to the bathroom to change if you have an accident, or changing your pad between classes instead of waiting for an emergency and needing to miss class time.Health Question & Answer

Female teachers will understand so just come right out with it if you have a female teacher. Male teachers know about monthly cycles in females, especially the married ones. If you have a male teacher just tell him "Mr Monthly Visitor" is here and I need to go to my locker for a few minutes. also if you have cramps tell him this is not a good time of the month for you, you are having some killer cramps. some male teachers are really embarrassed to talk about it that they will tell you just sit this one out, they don't want to talk about it any more than they have to.Don't be afraid to tell either sex, they both know about periods.Getting it out the first time is the hardest, after that, it comes easy. what i do is i bring my purse everywhere with me when im on my period.
then when your in class just ask to go to the bathroom and bring your purse. its easier and less hassle. people might catch on but who cares we are girls and it happens.

Maybe you should change your pad right before gym (that's what I ALWAYS did, and it worked out for me). Now your teacher should understand, IF it's a girl, but if it's a guy...well in that case i can't help you, i think you should wait for someone else to come along and give you some advice about that...sorry!Health Question & Answer

Just come right out and tell her after class or whenever she's free. It's nothing to be embarassed about. All girls have them unless they take some type of medication for it. For P.E. Just have your parents write a note for you, and if any of your friends wonder why you're sitting out, just say you feel sick.Health Question & Answer
