Hysterectomy.do symptons stay or go.?!

Question: Hysterectomy.do symptons stay or go..?
I asked this .? a few days ago & was really pleased with the answers I got.I don't know how to reply so I'm doing it this way.I have 6 sons all normal births.I suffered for so many yrs I can't remember with severe pms agonising lower back pain which resulted in me unable to function properly,also excess blood lost. A year ago I went to my Dr as I was concerned that I had a prolapsed womb as I always feel draging underneath & it felt very uncomfortable,this was confirmed & I was refered to a specialist,who then said I did not have a prolapsed. I had my womb microwaved and some pylops removed & was told I would prob not have any more periods.After the op I never had any symptons or bleeding for 3 & half months then I started getting the back pain again & very small clots & brown stuff sometimes this was lasting 2 weeks or more then 2 day breaks then nothing for a month.It has been like this ever since.I was refered by my Dr & it was decided I would have an Hysterectomy.I have looked at lots of questions & answers on the net & still am not sure if my symptons will still be there if so I will be having the op for nothing,unless I have my Ovareis removed which the Dr's are advising me strongly against.Health Question & Answer

Hysterectomy may be recommended for:
* Tumors in the uterus like uterine fibroids or endometrial cancer
* Cancer of the cervix or severe cervical dysplasia (a precancerous condition of the cervix)
* Cancer of the ovary
* Endometriosis, in those cases in which the pain is severe and not responsive to nonsurgical treatments
* Severe, long-term (chronic) vaginal bleeding that cannot be controlled by medications
* Prolapse of the uterus
* Complications during childbirth (like uncontrollable bleeding)

Health Question & Answer

I had a hysterectomy 6 years ago. My ovaries were also removed because there were growths on them. It took me 6-8 weeks to fully recover from it but my life has been transformed since. No more heavy bleeding, no more PMT and no more pain. The doctors are probably telling you not to have your ovaries removed because if you do you will automatically go into your 'change' and need HRT. If you keep your ovaries this will not happen.Health Question & Answer
