im a 13 yr old girl and ive had discharge for like about a year and i hate it, its so gross. my mom h ad her period when she was 15, but ive heard it doesnt matter when your mom had hers...?

oh honey!! i prayed for mine every day and hoped for it...finally it came and i hate it! it's really not that great. enjoy not having it. and even if all your friends have it..who cares.?.? and it kinda sometimes is when your mom got it...sometimes it's not at all!!! pay attention for stomach aches. if you get a really bad stomach ache that isn't like any other stomach ache...it's coming like-the next day or so...that's how it is for me at least. just carry stuff with you. hope i helped you. That is hard one to answer because everyone is different. It does matter to a degree when your Mom started. It give you an idea what to expect. You are, after all, her daughter.

also, if you are 16 without a period (a few years away) you might need to go to the DR.
Plus, if you are super skinny it can actually prevent or stop periods. So, make sure you are a good healthy weight. Not fat, not too skinny.

i woudlnt worry about when your going to have it...i would just be prepared and carry some pads with you, just slip them in your schoolbag and pocket. lol. No it doesnt matter when your mum has had hers at all, everone is different, mine came when i was 14, and my mums 12. lol don't worry , but watch out for stomach aches they could be a sign of it coming, or lower back pains.Health Question & Answer
