Erm..I'm scared :( What is it ?!

Question: Erm..I'm scared :( What is it .?
Ok, so the past few days I've been noticing white, transparent stuff in my underwear. I didn't take much notice of it. But this morning I found it was like brown and I was bleeding quite alot. Is this my period .? Will I get it this time every month .? I'm embarrassed to tell my mum. I've put a pad there but I don't think it's doing much, and I'm scared she'll start noticing someones been using her pads... I'm 13.Health Question & Answer

Sounds like your period. the white/transparent stuff is just discharge. Discharge can be clear and thin or thicker and white. It just changes consistency and color due to hormonal changes. If it's green or an "off" color then see your doctor because it can indicate an infection. The brown discharge usually happens at the beginning, end or both times during your period and is mostly old blood. The red is your period. It may not come this time every month because it can take months or years to regulate itself. It may also become heavier later on. Usually your first period is very light. You also should tell your mom. She should understand and will at least know where all the pads are going.Health Question & Answer

Yes this is your period. Don' be embarrassed to tell your mum as she gets them too and will understand! You will need some pads anyway so you'll need to ask her to get you some, or else you'll have to get some yourself. Her pads may not be thick enough for you if she mainly uses tampons.

Your periods will be irregular for the first few months. You may not get one next month at all, or it may come at a different time. It's best if you carry around a couple of pads in your bag all the time until you've settled into a period routine. Health Question & Answer

I would say it's the beginning of your period-at least mine started similarly to that. The white stuff is discharge, which is extremely common. Your period will not necessarily become regular instantly-you could not get it one month or get it at different times, and it will become heavier as it goes along. I'm 15 now and it took me 2 years before it regulated, and some of my friends still haven't. I wouldn't worry about it, but it's probably best for you to tell your mum, just so she knows :)Health Question & Answer

Talk to your mum she is waiting for this to happen and will explain ever thing to you. Yes it is a period which you will have every month now that you are a young women, eventually say after six months you will be able to see when you are due on, which is 5-7 days of each month, every 28 days, until you are in you forties or fifties. If you can bot talk to your mum find a teacher or nurse at school who will tell you everthing.xHealth Question & Answer

Please talk to your Mum, she really should have spoken to you a couple of years ago about the facts of life.
I am sure it is your first period, welcome to "Woman Hood", you may not get your period every month at first, some girls take a few months to settle down.
By the way, try to stear away from tampons and stick to pads, 'till you are older anyway.Health Question & Answer

YES! that is your period. you might not get it every month to start of but it might be regular you never know. Dont be embarrsed to tell your mom when i got mine just 6 months ago i was scared to tell my mom but once i told her we went out and got the supplies i needed and it was alot better. your mom will TOTALLY UNDERSTAND trust me shes probobly waiting for this day. just confront her and say "mom i think i got my period".

if the pad is not working i suggest getting a thicker one so that you will be more comfortable and you dont have to be worried about leaks.

GOOD LUCK!Health Question & Answer

It sounds like your period to me dear...you are at the right age...it is perfectly normal to have clear discharge prior to your period and even around your ovulation time. Your first periods can be quite heavy and brownish color....everything sounds normal to me, so dont be scared..but you should tell your mom. She will understand, she has been in your shoes
Go ahead and tell her and then you will have someone to talk to and ask questionsHealth Question & Answer

if the blood is going through the pad then u need a bigger one, if not its doing its job
you probably wont bleed that time of month every time.. im 15 and ive never really had a "regular time"
you have to wait till ur older
hope i helped!Health Question & Answer

I think that's ur period. The white clear stuff is called discharge.U ALWAYS get it before ur period. Its just a sign you ll be getting ur period soon. And the brown is dried blood.I got my period last wednesday. All i said to my mom was "mom, i think i had my period."then she gave me some pads.U should start out with pads, then move onto tampons. That's what im doing. At first, u could get this every month or it could take like months for it to happen again, at first its very irr-regular.So, good Luck! And im 13 to!LOLHealth Question & Answer
