Answers:
Well, an ob/gyn gives a full exam to your vagina, & breasts' health. They're not bad or scary, think of them like every girl's personal "down there" health guide.
Your first time:
You go in, the assistant shows you the room, gives you a bag that contains a robe. She leaves, and you fully undress, (you can keep your socks on btw). It feels funny because the robe is like make of pink tissue paper lol.

Then the ob/gyn comes in, you lay down on the table, put your feet in the sockets. & she'll talk to you about your day, if you had any questions, or problems, while she's doing that she'll check your breasts and under arms for cysts.
Then she'll lightly push on your lower stomach to check for cysts. Then she'll sit on her chair, at the end of the table. She'll shine a light "there" to see if you have any cuts, cysts, rashes etc. Then she'll tell you she's going to do an internal, & it'll be a little cold and to just relax. There is no pain, just a bit chilly lol
But she lubes up a metal tool that slightly opens the vaginal opening. she'll feel around to check your cervix, and vaginal walls. She'll take a mucus sample (its doesn't hurt, or tickle or anything) and she takes out the metal tool, wipes your "area" off and you can talk to her for a bit, about whatever you like. Then she leaves the room, you get dressed, and throw the robe away. You go to her office & she says bye & tells you to call if you have any questions of girth control, sex, or want to come in for anything.

The assistant just talks to you the whole time, so you can relax. She's there for support so you feel comfy. =)

Its not bad at all! I promise. The only thing that sucks, is when your all dressed & on your way phone, you'll feel wetness "on there" in your undies from the cold lube. lol that sucks until you can change Health Question & Answer

The OB/gyn is in charge of all your female parts and their health, and also your pregnancy.
During a routine exam, he will probably do a pap smear, which is an embarrassing but really painless procedure--he will insert a speculum into your vagina, and swab your cervix (the opening to your uterus, located at the far end of your vagina).
A speculum is just a metal tool used to hold open a body cavity (in this case, the vagina) so it can be examined. I've heard some girls call it "duck lips", which is funny, because it really does look like duck lips. http://www.phisick.com/images/gyn/vagina... (this is a non gross pic, it just shows the instrument).Health Question & Answer
