hello. I'm 19 years old and I was kind of wondering something. I got my very first Depo Provera shot on October 4, 2008. I know your not supposed to get a period while having this shot, but 3 days ago I started bleeding and haven't stopped. It started out as spotting and now it's bleeding. It's nothing heavy, but it's not real light either. I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this too and why is it happening.? thanks all for your answers.Health Question & Answer

you'll still get your period while on the shot. it takes a while for your body to adjust to the hormones and stabilize. you'll stop having your period eventually.Health Question & Answer
Some rare bleeding can occur while using this types of methods. They regulate your menstruation at eventually you will bleed something (not as regular thought). Still if it keeps coming you should really see a doctor. Preferably the one that gave you the injection. Health Question & Answer
