Question: I have been on Ortho Novum birth control for about 3 yrs now after my last baby. Missng 1 pill, Can I get preg.?

I faithfully take it every night before I go to bed but I forgot last night and did have unprotected sex last night with my husband. I dont want to have any more kids and regret not tieing my tubes after my 3rd one. I wasnt ready at the time. I cant get an IUD or the Mirena which is what I wanted but only because I was told by my OBGYN that since I get toxic shock syndrome with tampons, most likely my body will reject the chemicals that are released. She did not recommend it at the time so I just got back on the pill. Its been 8 hours late and I just took my pill this morning. What are my chances if its been in my system for 3 yrs.?Health Question & Answer
