The more often you use it, the less effective it becomes. If you read the packaging inside the Plan B pack, it will tell you all you need to know.
I would not suggest taking it twice in a month's period just because there is the risk that it may not be as effective as it could be. Plus, it throws off your period, which could be a taddle nerve-racking considering you're going to be waiting for it if you think you're pregnant.
If you're on birth control, on the other hand, I would not suggest using it at all if you've taken regular pills, put on regular patches, etc. Birth control and condoms would be all you need to have safe sex.
