Last week i arranged a doctors appointment, and it's for today at 3:50.
It's concerning my nose. When i was younger i had an accident and i now want corrective surgery on the NHS.
My nose makes me feel manly, ugly and depressed. I always think people are staring at it and i have been bullied in the past.
I only recently told my mum my feelings about it, so she told me to contact my GP.
I then told my sister, who took the mick out of me.
I want this surgery so badly, but my sister just had a go at me saying the doctors wont take me seriously. It's making me feel like i should just cancel the appointment, because i'm dreading the outcome of the appointment.
What if the GP turns me down.? Then i'll have to face both my mum and sister.. who knew that i would get turned down.
Please help me, i really dont know what to do.

If it is really affecting your confidence and is making you self concious, they will probably offer you something. Mental health is jus as important as your bodies health.
Just explain to the doctor how it makes you feel. Especially since it was an accident that caused it not jus your natural nose, they will be more sympathetic and may well offer you corrective surgery based on that.

I should hope so. There are cheaper ways to get you some self-confidence/self-esteem.
I don't like my nose and I was bullied but if I get a nose job it will be out of my own g d pocket. Like 99% of the unselfish people in this country. What next, a nice perky set of breasts to make you feel better.?

If this is something you really want then you owe it to youself to at least talk to the doctor about it...Good luckHealth Question & Answer
