Question: I've been really irratable lately, could it be my birth control pill.?
I just started this new birth control pill. Becuase the other one I was taking called Yasmin was giving me major cramps. But ever since I started taking my new pill I've just been really pissy. Like I've been wanting to punch people in the face and scream at them and stuff. I'm not on my period or anything. And I'm not PMSing. Could it be the new pill I'm taking. It definitely could be. Birth control pills are basically mixtures of hormones, so depending on how certain ones in certain amounts and such affect you specifically, it might cause you to be more irritable. My best friend had a really bad experience with the first birth control she tried; it made her irritable, depressed, and left her having anxiety problems and periods where she would cry for hours. After she met with her doctor and switched to a different kind, it all stopped. Definitely talk to your doctor and discuss this with him/her.Health Question & Answer
It could be the new pill you are taking. Go to a drug store and buy some vitamin B complex. It really worked for me, and was recommended by my doctor. Some birth control pills will deplete levels of B vitamins in your body, making you feel irritable, so you just have to replace them. Might take a week or so before you start to feel "normal" again. I would keep changing birth control, until I found something that worked for me. Explain to your doctor how each BC is making you feel, maybe he will be able to direct you to the right one. Good luck.Health Question & Answer
