Is it safe to have un-protected sex with my boyfriend if I'm on birth control?!

Question: Is it safe to have un-protected sex with my boyfriend if I'm on birth control.?
I'm 18 and responsible, and we've been together for 3 years now. I'm on birth control and have been for quite some time. We always have un-protected sex, but he never ejaculates in me. I just want to know if there are any risks that go along with this because everyones always told me to ALWAYS have protected sex. Are there any other risks involved in un-protected sex while on BC.? (other than STD's, we trust eachother with everything we have in us)Health Question & Answer

I can not believe that in 2008, people still believe that withdrawal is a birth control method. In the first place it does not work! Secondly, it interrupts the sexual act making it frustrating for both parties. You need to use a condom to protect yourself from STDs. When you have sex with someone you are literally trusting them with your life. At 18 you do not want to make a mistake that will change the rest of your life.Health Question & Answer

A person who is proving their trust by not wearing or insisting on protection is called infected.
also all the BC methods adjust your hormones, they are not foolproof. Prophylactics are not 100% either. the two together is best.Health Question & Answer

No! You can still get pregnant, BC is NOT 100% effective!!!Health Question & Answer
