The best treatment for a uti is all natural and cheap! Get some organic raw apple cider vinegar...drink one tablespoon 2x per day. also take a bath with 1/2 C. of the vinegar....You can also drink pure (no sugar) cranberry juice this should clean it up quick...also get some probiotics to prevent them.Health Question & Answer
You can also take cranberry pills. Stay away from sugar at all costs. It will only make you feel more uncomfortable than you already are. If you go to the doctor to get antibiotics (which you should), make sure you ask for an anti-fungal pill like diflucan or fluconizol. Unfortunately when women get UTI's, they are prescribed antibiotics which in turn causes yeast infections.
Good luck, and don't forget to avoid sugar and intake lots of natural cranberry!Health Question & Answer

Antibiotics are made for the type of bacteria they target. They will have to do a urinalysis to see if they type of bacteria in the UTI is gram positive or gram negative and they usually prescribe Sulfa antibiotics for UTI's. Tetracycline is used more for dermatology or STD's.Health Question & Answer
