I've been riding horses for years competitively. I'm sure I broke my hymen some where in there because even though my first time was painful I didn't bleed and the pain was different than had been previously described to me. Plenty of riders break their hymens before they lose their virginity. I've heard of gymnasts breaking theirs as well and I'm sure other athletes have had the same experience.
