Why does my vagina smell?!

The odour of a women's vagina shouldn't be "horrible". It could be the sign of an infection, but I'll put money on it being down to you using shower gel on it twice a day. The genital area is very sensitive, and things like harsh, perfumed soaps can upset the delicate balance. The vagina is self-cleaning, and all you need is to wash the outer labia. Stop excessively washing down there, and try to wear cotton undies and I'll bet the disturbing order will dissipate.

Hey, it's probably a bacterial infection. Usually those don't itch like normal yeast infections. You should go to the obgyn for it and get some medication. OR you could eat 2 yogurts a day, for one week, and see if it goes away. Yogurt is great for clearing up vaginal infections. If it doesn't then you def should go to the doctor. also, use just plain soap to wash down there and you shouldn't wash more than once a day. Vaginas are like self-cleaning ovens, lol. They clean themselves inside, so if you wash down there more than once a day your washing away the good bacteria, hence letting bad bacteria thrive, which equals infection and smell :-X And wear pantyliners too. you need to use special cleaning stuff for your vagina as shower gel messes up your natural ph 'down there'. also showering twice a day is not good it strips you of natural oils. if it is a 'horrible' smell you may need to see a doctor but your vagina will have a natural smell.

Every female has a certain "scent" but it shouldn't be revolting.

You may have a bacteria infection, or it could be caused by sweat, by what you're eating, or if you're douching. Try changing your diet (a lot of milk products can cause smells) and drinking a lot of water, and make sure you don't douche. Health Question & Answer

Your shower gel is the problem. Rather use white soap.

You also might have a light infection, maybe go talk to a doctor ar a chemist and ask for some sort of anti bacterial cream...

And: what sort of knicker do you wear.? Stay away from silky stuff and try cotton...
