First period after being pregnant?!

Question: First period after being pregnant.?
It is normal for your period to "change" after being pregnant.?.? It came yesterday and it has been really heavy, and I have really bad cramps. And for past 9 or so years it has been pretty light and no cramps or very very mild ones, even after my first pregnancy. But now all of a sudden it is terrible. Health Question & Answer

I started the BC seasonique and i hope it helps me!Health Question & Answer

Periods change every 5-10 years, so says my OBGYN. Up until I was 21 my periods were very light and hardly any pain. Then all of a sudden they changed and started getting very heavy with a lot of clotting and bad cramping. I've been on the pill two years now and am too scared to go off of them b/c my periods now are as light as can be and virtually pain free! Try to talk to your Dr about going on birth control pills for a while. It really does help. also, I got pregnant at 20 but only carried a few weeks before miscarrying. It was after that that my periods changed, so I'm guessing yes, it does change them (all the hormones and such). Good luck!Health Question & Answer

YES! My first period last 3 weeks and was so heavy that I actually went to the hospital because I thought I was going to bleed to death! LOL
I was going through a heavy tampon every 30 min exactly! They said its normal to have a heavy period after giving birth. I would just take some tylenol or motrin and take it easy. Might last a couple weeks!Health Question & Answer

Your first period usually comes in about 6 weeks after delivery. If you are breast feeding it wont happen just yet. Give your body a chance to settle down, even up to one year to get back to normal.Health Question & Answer

yes it is normal. Your body has to adjust from not having your period for so long. It will slow down over time and become more lighter. It may take a few months but you will get back to normal.Health Question & Answer
