A question about removing hair down there?!

I was doing the same as you and it wasn't until last week that I decided f!@# it, I'm getting rid of it all.

I wasn't shaving it all because I found that when I tried that once, I ended up with those little red bumps and some very painful ingrown hairs.

I started to try waxing at home and it was just too painful and messy - and that was only doing my bikini line!

Go and see a professional and get a brazilian. They do the whole lot, are exteremely professional and it's their job. For the monetary cost and your 'embarrassment' it's well and truely worth it. Take a few ibuprofen before you go (not paracetamol), ask for a female therapist and it will all be over in 20 mins - 1hr. I was nervous as all hell and while it hurt a bit, it wasn't as bad as when I waxed my own bikini line.

Make sure you exfoliate and the therapist should be able to pick the right product for your skin and some aftercare products. Buying wax off the shelf you can never be certain your skin can handle it.Health Question & Answer

i am an aethetician and i do brazillian waxing in my spa all the time and its the only way to go if you want it all gone! Just think of it as a dr. patient relationship. If you're worried about it i can give you some tips. take a shower before right before you go and clean done there so you wont have a worry about smelling and just make sure it is about a 1/4 to 1/2 inches long and no longer! other wise it will hurt more and be more uncomfortable because then she will have to trim for you. also check to see if the place you go uses HARD WAX not strip wax because its less painful and less messy. if you are going to shave be careful and use a new blade and shaving cream shave with the direction of hair growth. Don't try to wax yourself it hurts if you don't know how to apply the wax and how to pull it off. and you could end up bruising yourself. Health Question & Answer

1) shave
shaving is quick , easy , and cheap
if your skin is sensitive you might get red bumps, razor burn, and ingrown hairs
if you have not experienced this while shaving your bikini area...you will probably be fine

trim the hair as short as you can and use a good amount of shaving cream and shave against the grain ..make sure to clean the razor often ..it shouldnt be hard at all

2) wax
DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT DOING IT AT HOME !
the at home waxes are very weak strength and quality
(if they were as strong as the salons they would have a high risk of being sued by women tearing off their..uhh.parts)

i honestly think you should think about getting it professionally done
it takes 3-5 weeks to grow back...no razor burn..etc

you can use a regular razor, or at least i do. it dosent hurt, but i assume waxing would, especially at home with out experience. you could probably hurt yourself that way. i just use a regular razor and i do it on the toilet to get a better angle. wet yourself first so you dont get razor burn tho. i do it after the shower so its wet but sometimes i have to hop back in to get all the hair off. >.<Health Question & Answer

you should think about gettting it sugared...its amazing and no you can't do it at home but don't be embaressed or anything. sugaring is awesome its all natural and it stays away for weeks it totally worth it. i do it and i never get ingrown hair or anythimngHealth Question & Answer
