Why would a question on birth control be autocategorized into "Women's Health" instead of "Men's Health"?!

Question: Why would a question on birth control be autocategorized into "Women's Health" instead of "Men's Health".?
This particular autocategorizing experiment has exposed a gender, and possibly a sexist, biased flaw in the Yahoo autocategorizer.

A man may be just, if not more, concerned about birth control as a woman.Health Question & Answer

Condoms are used by a man but they are ribbed for her pleasure: 10 points for me!!!!!!

Side Bar 2: I also smell a V-I-O-L-A-T-I-O-N, so you two better drink up and 'suit-up' before you end up in Oops-ville.Health Question & Answer

Uneducated people think that the phrase "birth control" and "oral contraceptives" are the same thing, although intelligent people like you and I know that oral contraceptives are only one type of birth control. Condoms, like you said are another, there are also diaphragms, IUD's, pull and pray, etc... Since Yahoo and most answerers fit into the category of uneducated and think that there is only one thing that is considered birth control, no wonder there are so many "am I pregnate questions"Health Question & Answer

I would be willing to bet it's because -- as a general rule -- men don't TAKE birth control (which is the most common reference: oral contraceptives).

Yes, men can be just as curious about contraception, but since 90% of all contraceptive means are enacted by the woman (and it IS the woman who carries the pregnancy), it would seem reasonable to assume that THAT is where the questions belong.

As well, men can ask question about birth control and askers DO have the right to change categories at their discretion, and there is no law that states that a man can't ask a question in the woman's health category.

I think you have too much time on your hands if you're THIS worried about gender bias with regard to something so ridiculously trivial!

EDIT: HELLLOOO.... There are only TWO methods of contraception that men use...condoms and vasectomy (three if you count the highly faulty "withdrawal" method). ALL of the rest...the pill, the shot, the ring, the patch, the IUD, the implant, tubal ligation (and hysterectomy) , and abortion ALL are FEMALE ENACTED.

Get a frigging life. And I'm not sexist, I'm RATIONAL... something you're clearly NOT.Health Question & Answer

Are you serious.? ! .?

The pill question is about so much more than birth control. I've never met a man with questions about what to do when he misses a pill, what kind of break through bleeding is normal while he takes the pill, where he can get the pill, what tests he has to have done to get a prescription for the pill, what side effects are normal with certain pills he takes, or that thinks he might be pregnant even though he takes the pill. I've never met a guy that takes the pill to make his periods more regular or lighter. I don't think that men's health would do much to answer questions about how to take the pill the right way...Health Question & Answer

because usually the asker wants people's opinions from people who have already taken the birth control.

i think you're looking wayyyy to into this assuming its sexist.Health Question & Answer

BECAUSE WOMEN TAKE BIRTH CONTROL. THEY'RE MORE LIKELY TO ASK A QUESTION ABOUT IT. IT'S COMMON SENSE NOT SEXISM OR BIASED.Health Question & Answer
